In the heart of Maremma Toscana, a stone’s throw from the Etruscan ruins of Roselle, “Il mustiaio “ is a must for those who want to get to know this wonderful land and its unique products. The organic holiday farm “ Corte degli Ulivi “ is next to “ Il Marruchetone “ where olive oil is milled in the old oil mill with granite stones, one of the few remaining examples around, and can host 20 / 25 people in simple and comfortable structures. After a rest under the centuries old olive grove, contemplation leads to curiosity ---- the discovery of places that have stood still in time --- ( Buriano, Vetulonia, Montepescali, Sticciano, Montorsaio, Batignano…) or Massa Marittima with its superb square, Capalbio with its massive city walls, the destination of V.I.P.s and politicians; Sovana, Sorano e Pitigliano built on tuff, Scansano with its typical restaurants and cellars… or one can look for a relaxing pause at the Saturnia or Petriolo thermal spas , or move towards the seaside to explore the charming pinewood coast of Maremma between Marina and Castiglione della Pescaia. Further up, Puntala and Talamone beckon the weary traveller with their waters and fashionable joints, and if all this its not enough, then one can embark upon the waters to the islands of Elba, Giglio, Giannutri and Formiche or get lost in the wanders of the natural park of Uccellina.
